It still looks as good now as it did way back then.
I very nearly bought one,but after reading the reviews and race reports of the time,I went with the Optima Mid Custom instead.
You can see why it never worked as a racer,way,way,way over-engineered
and complicated.
Like I say though,it still looks fantastic,thanks for the review nismo.
J-Meister,it should handle brushless on the smooth tracks of today.
That was it's problem back in the '80's,it didn't handle,was fragile and complicated.It just didn't like the rough,bumpy,muddy outdoors "in a field" tracks that were most European(certainly a lot were in UK)circuits back then.
Tamiya expected it to blow away the opposition(it was their first "real" attempt to take the 1/10th off road crowns),instead the Schumacher and Kyosho opposition blew it over the fence.
