Just two wheelbase shims on both ( i belive the kit has one shim on the axel height- you will need to skim the bottom of the sterring arm to lower the axel) the bar and the axel , and no you don’t need longer screws.

lowering the axel will keep the front wheel closer/or pushed to the ground when the car is leaning over in a bend, but it also lowers the bumps steer, lowering the Ackerman bar resets the bump steer back to kit.
