I have an (old) RS Pro which I have been running for a few years now (5? 6?), both in my 4WD Predator and now in my RB5 MCS.
It has allways performed flawless ... untill recently.
I experienced some cogging and at first I thought that this was due to the old engine (a Ptitİo 9.5 engine). I bought a newer motor (Losi sensored 7.5) but experioenced the same cogging.
I had taken care to re-calibrate the ESC and ran it in dual-mode, with the sensor correctly connected. The soft-version was the latest available.
I had never experienced problems with these ESC-settings untill things went wrong.
The motor would cogg a bit when starting but once running it might go ok for some seconds, untill you had to release the throthle of brake. ALso I lacked power sometimes.
I didn't even drove my RB5 for even one full lap with the new engine on our BCA-track and pickid the car up as it was clear to me that the problem was not solved.
It was even worse: the engine was really hot, ... at the point that it even was DOA !! with a serious "burned" smell. The engine-wiring was very hot and even my Dean-connectors to the Lipo-Battery where somewhat melted.
The sensorcable was and is still fine.
I have now installed my spare RS Pro into the car and all problems are solved, even the older Ptit-Yo engine runs smoothly again.

What can i do about this ESC-problem? Can i send it somewhere to be repaired and if so what would be the costs?
I have no problem accepting that the ESC has a flaw after the houres and houres racing-fun it already has delevered me ... but I'd hate to have to throw away a once nice ESC in the bin.
I didn't bought it over here at my local dealer as they only sell the sensorless Tekin ESC's. I bought mine online from HK.
Thx for all constructive advice.
