We received reports that some main gears have been breaking, and as we had not broken a single gear during the development of THECar we knew something wasn't right. And as it turns out, we made a mistake. As you can see in the image below, the production gear on the left doesn't have enough material below the teeth. The pre-production gear on the right does. We are currently producing new gears which should be done by the end of the month.
So what now? Well if you have been running THECar without problems, you will probably not break the gear, as it seems to break immediately, or not at all. If you do break the gear, and do not want to try another one, you can run a Losi 45t gear, and use the JQ gasket, along with a Losi gasket, and it will work as a temporary fix.
