Someone who I really respect and I beleive knows what he's talking about explained when Lipos first came out that the the damage to Lipos is done when they are overly discharged but that the risk only happens when it is re-charged. So whilst it's easy to make a lipo that's been deep discharged start charging again (by forcing it above 6.0V on a nimh setting) this is where it is at it most dangerous.
Now I don't pretend to really understand the outcomes and likelyhoods but I just urge you to use some caution. Is it really deep discharged or just a fraction below 6.0V?
