Most permanent circuits don't use the exact same layout for weeks before the event, they use a different layout so no one gets to use the track before the event. Sure there will always be an advantage for local drivers whatever the track layout but it's completely wrong to use the EXACT layout prior to the event. If you can't make the practice day that's just the way it is, you can't expect to be able to practice for days and days just because you can't make the one designated practice day
How about anyone that's practiced on it already not being able to come along on Thursday to let the rest of us catch up a little? ........... bet the locals would love that
