Its funny you mention ebuyer as ive repaired 2 computers as of late which have both had graphics card failures supplied by them.
But my monitor which ended up faulty didn't seem to do it with the on-board graphics for some reason. Maybe because it runs everything a bit more low spec and doesn't push the monitors graphics capabilities.
Have you got another monitor you could try? That would be the only way to confirm 100% the problem.
