Thought I'd get a reply like that Alec

As you know we did run buggies Bitd - but our track markings have developed as such that they would not be friendly to the off roaders - even when we ran fire hosing filled with sand, breakages were common - people just wouldn't accept that now.

The demands of the latest generation off roader, I think would be tricky to meet in our small hall, places like Taplow have massive ramps & jumps etc which have come to be expected at an indoor venue - we just don't have the allocated room to store such ramps etc. Adam Burgess took his B4 round the other week & it just looked proper lairy - it looked so easy to rip a corner off the car.

If enough people requested a buggy heat then i'm sure we'd be only too happy to provide one - but so as not to alienate our current members that have invested in a touring car (& might actually like running them) the track would need remain flat - although perhaps a few movable (not too large) obstacles could be added before & after the heat? I suppose the question is.... how many people would come if we added the off road heat/s
