I have been racing mardave V12 for years, dont be tempted with the VRX, I personall would get a second hand one first. they hardly every break but when they do the parts are pennys.
When u get it go on the mardave website there is a bit on haw to set up ur car, well worth a look.
With mardave 90% of getting the car to handle well is tyres, get them right for the track and ul be fine, this is why i say the VRX is not really worth it if ur starting.
Get a Pug 205 with a big wing too (def the best shell)
