Yep, wot 'e said !

push a length of piano wire or such like, (even a screwdriver handle if you're a bit of a savage), - it wants to be a reasonably tight fit, through the C hub then heat it up GENTLY with a paint stripper gun or such like. Don't go mad tho, or you'll split it!

This softens the epoxy/carbon C hub sufficiently to allow the holes to align more accurately. I think the initial problem is probably shrinkage out of the moulds. Let it go stone cold then slide it off the piano wire. Job done.

Oh, by the way, whittling works to!
