The tyres seemed to last better on the wood too. Carpet was tearing them up before.
Interference wise, I run a futaba 3cvs with a spectrum module. Possibly microwave possibly cctv depepnding on frquency. but I would have thought that the cctv would be on all the time, if it was on. whereas the the kitchen closed and the interference went.
