We're talking about adding ~10-15g, it's not going to make a massive difference to the balance of the car. The Trish weight is ~25g and sits entirely behind the rear axle line, that will make a difference. There is no way a 10g addition above and in front of the axle line is going to offset the rear weight!!
I personally don't see it as a necessary item (like most seem to be). However, I also don't seem to have problems with the standard plastic items, especially since the addition of the 4th screw to the case.
