I agree, Rich, that a B44 is a much more competitive car out of the box in comparison to a DB01 but this season i noticed the following: i had a B44 for half of the season and a friend of mine raced the DB01R the whole season. I had to replace CVDīs and other spares about 3 times more that he had to do with his Tamiya. We race on dirt thatīs probably why metal tends to wear out that quickly.
Anyway there is a noticeable difference in terms of longlife quality of the metal parts i found and that is probably why they are way cheaper than a compared Tamiya. Thatīs just my opinion.
For Ben of course it would be a perfect cheap beginner car to take a used B44 and get used to modern race buggies before driving in front with a Tamiya
