Stay away from the X12 motors...almost all of the examples I've used have run hot or detroyed the bearings.
Last season I ran a LRP TC-Spec speedo with an LRP X11 5,5T motor with a bonded rotor to give better feel. This gave me 2nd in the national champ in 4WD, but for next year I'm strongly considering switching to Speed Passion 2.0 speedos and the V3 5,5T motors. My teammate has run this setup in his touring car and it works perfectly. Plenty of feel and not too much drag brake; another reason why I dislike X12 motors.
Novak I have no experience with, other than earlier models which also ran hot, and neither do I have experience with Hobbywing speedos.
Do not mix the SXX Version 2 with a speed passion motor. There's a significant amount of cogging of the line.
