All (well nearly all) the proper outdoor tracks use 1 layout , Bedworth, Stafford, Aldershot, Halifax, W/L, Mendip, Broxtowe and sadly missed Ashby (probably the best track in its day), yes some have a few cut throughs but most are never used.
Drivers say they want alternatives but most dont, they want to know the time they did this week is quicker than last week because they were "well quicker !!" not because the track was different, it needs to look for all intense and purpose just like an outdoor track but indoors (140 drivers at nationals cant be wrong), they want to know know that the new car they have just purchased is quicker than the car they had 6 months ago and you only get that by using the same circuit over and over again.
may sound boring but it is not, that is the nature of on road (as aposed to off road) real circuits dont keep changing it from race to race.
You need a proper sweeper at the end of the straight (its too tight at present) bring the track at least 1 1/2 foot in from the bariers this gives room for marshals and also run off room (this should be a painted line with green between the line and barrier) and you need a twisty bit before the straight.
You have a great venue get it right, you have messed about enough ? sorry if the above sounds hard trying to help. I built Bedworth along with others so i am talking from experience.

I could'nt agree more.
Sorry if this is going to come across as a bashing to what COULD be the best facility in the UK...
I had a discussion about the track at last rounds rug racers, and the track is POOR, it looks like a 5 year old built it. As Bob says build a permanent layout with decent curbing and apexs, it does not have to come down to the case of you can only race a single layout on it, im talking about such tracks as West London, Snetterton... those kinda layouts that will SUIT your facility, which are well thought out.
Everyone i spoke to agreed on the fact that you should look into the TITC track from the 2008 Worlds, which is no longer around anymore, i did post this on rccrapchat but you seem to have been removed.
Listen to what the racers want, if not, you wont last too long.
