Actually I found that with the V2 caps they get a little bit vacuum (pulls the piston back in). With the V1 caps they push the pistons a bit out. I'm thinking a little too much oil is better than too little. The perfect thing is a "dead" shock, correct me if I'm wrong

Another thing I've noticed about the V1 shocks is that the bodies are not perfectly straight on the inside! Try using Losi pistons and you will feel that they pinch at some places... not good!

With AE pistons though I've never had any problems. But changing O-rings is very unpractical of course. Hence I much prefer Losi shocks.

But don't get me wrong, AE makes great stuff!!!
