I have 2 Demon 5000/25c lipo's that have lost their balance leads... I spoke to Nick Adams (CEO) at Demon and he assured me that the cells could be charged without the balance leads being used, indeed they had charged their cells many, many times this way during testing without incident... as a consequence, I still use these cells 12 months on without a problem...
A point to consider is a charger with the balance lead connection built in such as the B6, or one of the cheaper HK versions of the B6 charger if funds are tight...
