No, it's ok I'm not taking it the wrong way. (Defiantly a work=around.)

What I hoped I got across is slightly different to the manual. I've built a lot of b4 and I've found a situation similar to yours. Tight steering. The solution I found was what I described above (well I hoped I've explained it.)

What I think was happening with mine was the bearings were not square, IE the servo saver nut was not threaded in square. So I used the bolt as a guide for the servo saver not.

But from the sounds of it, your issue is slightly different. Can happen that a bolt can be manufactured slightly over sized.

As long as you got it sorted out.
