Hi.

I was in the exact same boat. I went to MB models and looked at the Losi RTR, it's very good value considering what you get in the kit.

Personally I wasn't too keen on the buggy and preferred the look of the associated RC8B, which is what I went for. Much more expensive in the long run as it's just a kit, not a RTR.

I was told of all the RTR kits, only the Losi is competitive, and from what I've seen I'd agree. If you can afford it the Losi itis the way to go, unless you can stretch to a kit and all the extra stuff, like engine etc you would need.

A cheap RTR kit will probably just frustrate you, if you are a decent driver. Last Thursday I saw Dave Grunhills car with a budget Go Engine (around £100) and it was flying, easily as fast a my 2nd hand Novarossi. Maybe get a 2nd hand rolling chassis ( a decent one) then a budget engine etc, that would be my advice based on what I know from my first few weeks in nitro racing
