Hankook V12 Evo's are a great tyre, wet or dry and have a good wear rate....

I have 225/40/18's on both cars and recently put a set of Falken's on the Golf, they were more than capable - and not a budget tyre....

I'd go with something like that, any mid-range, incl Kumho are all up to the job...

Unless you're going to start taking your car on track, i doubt anyone or certainly many people NEED to run Michelin's, Goodyear or Pirelli tyres really..... A lot of it is in the mind - If you're driving that fast around on the roads that you're struggling for grop with Kumho's, Hankook etc i'd say you're more likely to crash anyway
