What car is better is subjective, and what makes one car better for one person, makes it worse for another.

As for parts quality, the only issue I have heard of in recent weeks, it ball studs on the Tamiya being a little (a lot) on the soft side, which isn't exactly difficult to rememedy now, it is?

As for toughness, I think I can say, from experience, the 501X suspension is as tough as they come, simple's, I run 4, yes four DB-01's, they have exact same drivetrain and suspension, and in 2 1/2 years, replaced two pulleys, two belts, one layshaft pulley, and the odd suspension component. The only thing that has taken a hammering, is inner hinge pins, I now use drill blanks, as they are easier to buy.
