I have to agree with Paul. Economics currently are ahead of principles due to the ongoing recession.
The cynic in me smiles wryly when informed that one of the hardest hit markets over the past couple of years is the "organic/fair trade" fruit / veg / coffe / free range eggs stuff. The people who were buying this on principle a couple of years ago have gone back to the cheaper, less politically correct versions.
