I lost one of the steel balls used for the inner hinge pins last night whilst rebuilding the car. Pretty gutted because I have no spare and I guess it would be a hard item to find. I used one of the alloy INTERNALLY threaded balls with a hex at the bottom that tamiya sell. The size of the ball AND hex is pretty much bang on the same size as the standard steel ball
and plastic washer.
I just drilled out the threads inside the ball and it's a perfect fit - and lighter too!
Shame I only had red ones to use
