I raced a Muggy for around 12 months and it sure is a good laugh
SHocks will soak up almost anything thrown at it.

There were a number of issues with the muggy when I ran one, and the clutch was the first thing I sorted out. I think the std gearing gave a final drive ratio IIRC of 14.6 and most truggies were running more around 15.5 at the time and the consensus of opinion was the muggy was overgeared. Losi eventually fitted a 12t clutchbell, but I went one further and fitted the 8ight 48t spur gear, which as the tester for the Innovative rc chassis is something I requested to be incorporated.
This brings the gearing to a more acceptable level.
As I was racing, I ditched the 420 wheels and swapped to 17mm hex's and ran LPR wheels and tyres. I never experienced any more clutch problems after that.
I made quite a number of changes, but i've got to get to work
