Swings and Roundabouts mate, I think it depends on whether you will 'feel' the difference on the track of the Durango, over the B44, and whether the small price increase is worth the cost?
Bear in mind that a lot of people more at club level may have B44's, but look around at your local clubs to see whats popular, and fairly successful.
The B44 also shares a lot of spares and parts with the B4/SC10/T4 etc, so parts will more likely to be much easier to get hold of, should your local shop close (something which is becoming more common of late, I am sad to say).
I own a B44, and its great, but I am not really into 'bling' and I like the B44 indoors (which is where I run most of the time). The Durango has gear diffs, which can help adjust the handling, and are more bombproof than ball diffs IMO... Also other peeps at my club run B44's, so we can help each other out with spares etc..
HTH a bit
