those GTV's (including the GTV6 mentioned) were all rear wheel drive
they even had the gearbox at the rear of the car (transaxle) to help with the weight distribution

Reason i did was that my dad had the sprint veloche (however u spell it) version - which had the 1500 boxer engine in it
Almost the same car and that was front wheel drive - so i was assumming !!
Better check it out now hang on !
