That's the same set up I've got. I've ran outside in 38 degree temps and the ESC has been fine but the motor has got formidably hot every race (5 race days now). Apart from getting very hot nothing has happened but after deciding to get a bit better advice and checking the gearing charts for the LPF 2.0 and the Durango it looks like the minimum pinion is a 24 (I was on a 23 and will now go to a 25 to see how that goes). I don't run with any fans and it's no problem for the ESC but I would love to be able to put one on the motor. It may have to be the Tresrey shell option to see if that's possible, but that's another thread...
