Just get a big tip for it, 6mm or similar, comes with a small tip 2mm or so, which is grand for small work receiver cables etc.

Yep it's good for everything, it's all I use at home. Wiring speedo, cells when we had to assemble ni-cad / ni-mh packs and anything else.

I can bring it out if you want to have a look at it.
