Both of these breakages probably came from the track. It had huge jumps made for 8th scale, and when I say huge, I mean HUUUUUGE!!!
If you miscalculated(which we often did), it was a 5m fall to the bottom of the landing, if not more.
What was a bit weird was the shock links that broke, these were the originals, and one would think something like an arm or a tower would break, not the bottom link.
As for the shimming, I used the stock with one shim pr. side, but when I put in the new gears, I put both shims on one side. Probably this broke due to many adjustments with the throttle when trying to land straight, and a way too tight slipper, but it's better now
