In my f1 I have been running a 25a ezrun with a 13t motor 20-104 gear ratio (I used this for weeks, other than the car being too fast for its own good, it never gave me any hastle). However the car was crazy fast so I changed it to a 16t ezrun motor and ran it with a 23-104 gear ratio. Initially all was good, but by the end of the nights racing the motor and esc were very hot (much hotter than the 13t used to be) even though I was able to actually go full speed more often.

In the last race the car was stuttering and slowing down etc.. so I stopped and after only a couple of mins the motor / esc were roasting.

Now with brushed, I was always ok doing this, the slower the motor the higher I could gear it, I assume it was the same with brushless but does the waeker motor require more ampage to push the car, and hence use more load etc??

I'm confused? (which isnt hard)

any info or help appreciated
