Also the blue aluminium shock collars are on upside down I think as the flange is there to centrally locate the spring so it doesn't rub on the shock body too much. Unless these ones have a flange either side.

I found this pic,,, maybe the Dirt had similar problem?????- collars up side down,,,....hard to say.
I think it depends what kind of springs you use...the inner diameter can be not always same- the coating decrease it and if you dont want tu rub the paint, it give sence to change the collars direction.
