i started on part worn greens and on the second run they were awful. put fresh greens on for round 3 and they were much better. 4wd will be more forgiving with the handling and getting power down.

But you are right, there wasn't much to choose between the various tyre choices, they were all terrible for the surface!!

i just see it as we go racing to be as fast as we can, so to me there is no sense in nominating tyres that are completely unsuitable, it only puts people off. And as i said, the economies don't work either. 2 sets of greens are more than 1 set of prolines, and as for using those greens elsewhere that won't really happen either. Once the tips are completely worn off the greens after 3 runs then you are pretty unlikely to use them at another regional like Faversham on wet grass etc. Again you would need fresh greens with square tips to be fully competitive.
