Thanks Rob, its Bernie here btw. I did get a 2wd spur to fit, drilling the center hole, it came out a little out of round but not bad. THere was no difference in the noise either
So this makes be think the spur is not the problem, but sound is coming from it.
Do you think its a resonating sound from the spur being encased with the plastic cover? It sounds hollow to me, like the gear noise is amplified.
Anyone out there know of a spur that uses a slipper pad, with an 8mm center hole? From pics the hpi blitz looks similar, but without one in hand I dont know.
