Addittives in offorad is not done, as its not allowed at BRCA meetings. But what you do at your club is not governed by BRCA rules - its the clubs choice. But generally it is not done because the additive may damage the sportshall floor, or generally the surface is grippy anyway (carpet indoors, grass or astro outdoors).
I have raced off-road on an indoor touring car track, Jubilee Arena in Bury. it was actually very good. I ran bald tyres and they were best after being 'run-in', as the track was full of additives from the snorers - and our tyres just soaked this up and picked up rubber. Oh I forgot, when i ran Mardave V12's with rubber M1 tyres, we used TQ Orange - using it regular until the rubber turned soft and then they're great.
An idea for you, is firstly try degreasing them with a strong degreaser, such as dirt devil. This will make the rubber more rubbery. Then try the TQ Orange.
