Great news that we will running on carpet! I agree with Maz that carpet dragons will most likely be the tyre of choice. Are we limited on the insert we can run with them? And hopefully we do get a meeting or two to get everyone up to speed on the carpet in time for the championship
Also it might be an idea as its not our carpet yet (probably still a good idea if we do buy it eventually) to remind people to check the screws on the bottom of their cars. To make sure there aren't any hanging down that could cut the carpet. I know at my old club we used have a marshall quickly check the cars before the start of each race, we could also try this.
