here's the blurb from Trinity

Quote:
The Dyna Pulse discharger is designed to condition your battery packs by reducing crystallization inside the cell and provide the high discharge rate that improves voltage without incurring damaging heat cycles. The Ni-MH battery packs on the market now like a high discharge rate but not the heat that results from it. The discharge rate used in the Dyna Pulse is 30 amps but it pulses from zero to 30 amps. This process like Reflex charging which pulses the charge amperage has been used in industrial and military applications to condition and maintain batteries in essential equipment. Use of this type of discharge increases voltage output and run time. Packs will have a longer “race” life. Since the discharge rate pulses it takes longer to discharge the battery after you finish racing, but all data is calculated at the end of the discharge in a simulated constant 30 amp discharge. The Dyna Pulse will discharge both 4 and 6 cells. A big plus if you run 1/12th scale or other 4 cell racing. The display will show the pack voltage and actual discharge time as it discharges. At the end of the discharge this will be calculated into actual run time, average pack voltage, capacity and internal resistance.
