I would suggest a 22 pinion is a safe starting point for a 6.5T but it depends on track, indoors/outdoors, motor type and settings on the speed controller.
For example, I run 23/83 outdoors with a Speed Passion 5.5 but if anything, I think its a touch over-geared for some tracks...
