My worst was my first, the tamiya falcon. I built it as an 8 year old and built the shocks as the manual described for "off road". This made them so stiff the car basically had no suspension. The driveshafts popped out all the time, and a minor collision ripped the whole front end off.
It would not have felt so bad, but i had asked for a mardave meteor, and the shop owner persuaded my parents the falcon was better.
