being completely honest, unless you are running full quallys without any driving errors, most of the tires from the big names name will be pretty reasonable,

something like a crimefighter M3 or M2 will be more than good enough to get round OK.

its not like 10th scale where if you don't have schumacher yellow mini-spikes its not worth turning up, on dirt, with 8th scale, such a wide variety of tires 'work'
you can tell this by seeing the how many tires the people shooting for A-finals bring with them. they will probably run a different type of tire tread or compound each run and gain or loose no more than a couple of 10ths of a second a lap. this obviously matters for someone looking to win the meeting, but not for people from the B-main downwards.
