Hi Jamie, the DMS spurs should not affect how your slipper works in any way, but be sure to check that your pads have not worn out and that the slipper plates are then running on the gear itself.

Most of the team now use the X-Factory slipper plates (which are flat - unlike several of the AE ones we have found), with the std AE spring and normal 5-40 nut, They all now use the DMS spurs (in varying sizes) along with standard AE slipper pads (make sure that these have "clicked" fully into place and are flat before you assemble on to the car)

Check these few things and let us know if you have any further troubles.....
