Go down to a 26T pinion too, I'd say your 7.2:1 fdr is overgeared. with a 26T you'll be 7.8:1 which should be better for your temps.
Personally though I'd say even that's getting towards overgeared for offroad and would use a 24/25T max unless you have lots of long straights?
