Default A FEW ISSUES :(

Hi Everyone

Im all the way in Australia, and have just driven my Cougar for the first time and have had some very annoying issues.

Firstly, the drive pin that one of the transfer gears is mounted on continually snapped. I replaced it 3 times and it snapped under brakes each time. I drive on high grip carpet. Im going to have to try spring steel for a pin substitute or get one made out of billet steel.

Secondly, one of my driveshafts fell apart. So i USED A PAIR OF B44 SHAFTS which is not a good thing, i'd rather keep my Schumacher all Schumacher, not a Chinese Associated bitsa

Thirdly, The camber on the front end can't be adjusted to more than 0 degrees. I wanted to go to 2 degrees negative and the ballcups were fuly screwed in at 0 degrees. So again, i had to use ASSOCIATED links from the b44 which were shorter to allow for more negative camber

Fourth problem, the instructions should mention to Threadlock the grub screw for the BALL diff. Mine came loose and melted the diff gear where the balls go in a split second. The manual shoild also state that the side with the grub screw should be on the spur gear side to avoid having the diff come lose.

Finally, notchiness in the gearbox at a certain point is also present, which was mentioned by others in the other threads.

I'll have to contact Schumacher, but being all the way in Australia is going to be a pain for replacement parts.

But overall., i love the car and it handles supreme. And i love how it isn't built in China but rather nicely built in the U.K. About times something isnt chinese. Thats why I gave up on the B4.
