the problem is, that in 2wd the diff should set "light and smooth, that is very important - so thicker oil like 5000 cst is undriveable for 2wd, i tested afrom 25 to 50 wt damper silicon oil, and 50 was very critic to drive.
We use torsen diff in 1/8 scale buggy, thats a tuned gear diff with "diff lock". That would be an opportunity, but to expensive for 1/10 scale racing.
Trust me, in 2WD the ball diff is much better than gear diff. So AE team driver use the ball diff in the SC10, because it s faster.
