They might get the stuff in bulk from HK, then send out what they need to in the UK. But they probably say its being shipped from HK so that they can make more money on postage.
Ebay have supposed to have clamped down on people bumping postage charges up to make money. My missus used to sell a lot of books on Ebay, but Ebay have now got set prices for postage on books. Some they don't allow you even charge postage!!
They don't take into account the size and weight of some of the books. So now we don't sell any books on Ebay because we end up losing out when someone buys a book for £1.20 and then the postage costs us about £7.....but Ebay won't let us charge postage.....go figure!?
...anyway, thats why I think they put HK as the location of the products. Technically they are, but they'll pay less per item if they bring them in in bulk.
