take it out and stretch as per paper insert in the manual, then when fitting it don't use the c lip pliers but don it buy hand, use a flat screw driver and do it one side at a time push one side half way down or so, then push other side in a little bit at a time so as not to twist it, when you here a click you no its in and make sure it isn't easy moved with he screwdriver,it should be hard or impossible to turn.
