What you have to remember is that if we introduce a class because one or two drivers have bought one, where does that stop - Pro10, 1:10 buggies (indoors), F1, Bikes, 1:12 Circuit the list goes on....

Well said Scott

Over here in the States we're seemingly quite famous for adding the "class of the month" (or the year) - oftentimes different motored versions of a pre-existing class - and all it does, as you suggested, is dilute the current field of cars...and pretty soon what happens is that another class is superceeded and goes away because ultimately you're dealing with the same number of racers racing the same number of cars. It's dumb and just costs more money because people feel forced to buy new cars to replace ones that didn't really need replacing. But it really seems to be an initiative by folks that want to find a class to win at, when in reality once that class gets populated they'll still find themselves in the back of the pack again as faster guys take to it.

This thread for example, IMHO, if people want to add an M03 class so as to be more budget conscious go ahead and get them and run in a pre-existing comperable class (or with the M05 boys). Sure you're going to finish further back, but that's what they're asking to do anyway by wanting to run slow/within budget.
