Maybe it can be moved or closed, either way i'll still post an answer.

In a 2WD the motor only has to power the rear wheels. There is less power needed to power 2 wheels and less power lost in the drivetrain.
Also 2WD's usually use engines with more turns then 4WD's generating less current meaning less heat.

The blue outer shell of both the TC and comp also serves as a heatsink not just the visible heatsink on the TC spec.

You can use both in a 2WD. But why spend more €/$/£ then needed.
