I use the throttle exponential to make the bottom end of the trigger smoother. The first half of throttle movement doesn't make the buggy do anything silly so its great for tight parts of the track but then full throttle still gives all the power for the straight and to clear jumps with a small run up.
I only started to use it when I went onto new 40c lipos and the instant punch was too much for the slippy floors I run on
