I've been at the battery strap on my truck with a dremel, basically so I can move the pack all the way back for a little more traction
Doing this opened up an area towards the rear of the truck where I can see all of the connectors. (I've cut the foam spacer about 1/3rd at approx a third of it's length to give me some options also).
With the packs I am using (LRP 5300 40C) you can actually fit the connectors under the strap when soldered up side entry stylee and it all clamps down nicely.
The FT carbon brace solves the problem, but I was told it is not available in the UK yet (from CML) a few weeks back, I am yet to bother ordering one from the states.
