You can do two things:

put a spacer under the idler post so reaches out further. But that's probably not the best idea because then you get less overlap with your spur.

Dremel your motor screw head to make it flatter, and don't use a very thick washer. That way the screw will fit under your idler.

You do have to remove the idler to tighten this motor screw!
